For me, pictures are meant to captivate the soul of a person. To recreate it in a paper/digital photo.
And the eyes of a person is the best and only gateway for their souls.
So, i like to see pictures which feature faces...
They reveal everything to me.

I understand what you mean, i think portraiture should capture the soul and essence of the person,
however i like to use photos like this to portray concepts.
