I struggle with that as well, I get caught up in the build there have been times when the audience has told me I've gone too far.

Its a difficult balance because I love small details that add to the image and create a story and I get obsessed with that.

Part of me wonders if its literally because of the audience I've built just doesnt like content that dark.

I dont know, your piece looks fine in the sense that it doesnt cross a line, its impressive and beautiful.

Thank you, I like the feedback! I will say however I generally have more versions than I post that do go farther or other directions. That said, I have been happy if a nose ring sneaks by with out being decried ha. Maybe I'll get around to the rest if there is a market. I'd be more apt to post if the audience likes it, I can't say I don't appreciate feedback, I like it in any form really. That said I will continue as I feel like and just post the more palatable options as I do now.
