Muito bem apanhada!
Vejo uma série de elementos que se repetem indefinidamente (colunas e cadeiras), e que são interrompidos pela presença de um elemento estranho ao resto da foto, um homem sozinho. Fabuloso...
Parabéns!

Excellent photograph! The composition is perfect and the subject is interesting and intriguing. I also quite like the use of more white than black in this. Most black and white photographs have a lot of dark in the image, but I like how the main subject (the man) is one of the darkest parts of the picture and sort of stands out against the mainly light background. Wonderful job!

In a sea of empty chairs there sits one who is all alone. The chairs stark and white. They are the compliment to the lone figure who sits and broads of loss and alienation. Wonderful capture and the composition really gets us to fee that overwhelming sense of either loss or being alone.

With 181 comments, it's hard to say anything that hasn't been said, but I love this image. It's really powerful. The tones, isolation of the one person there, the contrast. This ia a great shot. The grain just adds to it by making it feel like an older picture (WW II comes to mind for some reason). So yeah, this is an excellent picture. Very powerful and full of emotions, and looks like a photo from the good ol' days of photography.

The aloneness this shot holds is... incredible. He is alone, yet not at all. The lone man amidst the repetiveness of daily life is striking... I love it.

Beautiful interpretation, and most 'correct' (as there is nothing wrong or right in art, I just wanted to let you know that that is pretty much what I feel with it as well....)
Thank you!

To know that I have touched your feelings with this photograph, is as if I had done what I set out to do with all my photos. I now feel happy for sharing my emotion with someone else; and I am happy because I have a sense of fulfilment.
thank you so much for this.

this may have 143 comments. and i may have waited two months to comment on it. but i saved it in my watch for a reason. and when i woke up today, this stirred me enough to start a commenting streak.
i am sure you know all of the technical merits of this-- the really subtle contrast he provides, the great composition, properly utilizing the WHOLE frame and keeping interest even in repetition.... but i think what we love the most about it is the implication.
you give us no context to this image but the columns make me think he's in a church, one that would be frequented by the masses, judging by the high volume of chairs. He's all alone, and it's as if he needs to be to have his own holy moment. It implies he hasn't been in that sort of situation for some time... but now he needs something:
reassurance, a favor
and the place is still there.
but we're left with the question
will he find what he needs there?
i am not a very religious person but i am a spiritual one.
and i really like this.
