kmccaigue is doing a 100 dragons challenge on youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHFzy-β¦Wanted to take part for a second, to do the "king dragon".
So the design probably wasn't all that royal aside from some of the colours, but damn it - I just wanted an excuse to render a dragon!

The recent requests I did helped a LOT, since I heavily checked references - including anatomy ones.
Mostly went off on what I learned/remembered from that to make this, looking really only up stuff for the feet and using an old picture of my own hand :>

I know checking photography is a ton helpful when going for a more realistic approach
And I do the same for hands! well kinda.. I need to hold that damn left hand of mine for soo long xD

And that's why I used a picture, so I didn't have to tire out my arm xD
I know how it sometimes gets when you mean to do something or be a bit social, but it just keeps slipping by for one reason or another :z

I think I spent 5 days on it, tried to get it done in a little under a week - so goal accomplished.
Over time one gets faster at drawing as you get more experience and knowledge, and how much time you spend each day drawing matters quite a bit.
Wouldn't have made it on the self-made deadline if I didn't set aside a somewhat consistent large ammount of time aside each day, unlike my normal "half an hour to couple of hours as I feel like it" 'schedule'
