Great pic. That saying is most profound, and exactly what I've been thinking of late as we're having huge problems in our church at the moment, which are horribly distracting. It's rather easy to lose sight of the One whom we go to worship in such circumstances!

Indeed it is - been to Ely cathedral today, it was beautiful however it is the smaller quiet chapels alongside the main that seem to be a better place to get closer to belief.
Funnily enough I was a secretary for a rector and he lost half the numbers when he suggested that war was wrong in a remembrance sunday service - politics all too often take precendence...

Well how about this for some history... My father was the Director of music and the organist at Ely Cathedral for 6 years back in the 50's!!! I used to sit with him in the organ loft, and was so proud of him - but he was a very nasty piece of work and a very bad father, although a brilliant musician!

Our lot have fallen out over the lack of a pastor being on the horizon...
