************************* Chapter 1 of Be Cautious with the Quiet Ones*************************
/////////Azami’s Point of View////////

Hiroki pulls me closer to him, and says, “Don’t worry about them, Azami.” I nervously look to my side, and flinch from the sight of deadly glares that are thrown my way. I know Hiroki felt me flinching in his embrace since his right arm is still wrapped over my shoulder. I know I should be used to this procedure because I go through this it every day at school. I know it’s not Hiroki’s fault that he is popular in school, especially with the girls. I don’t know why, well I do though, as to why people would think that Hiroki and I would be in relationship due to the fact how we are always around with each other, especially how Hiroki acts around me(like putting his arm on my shoulders for instance). In reality, Hiroki is my best friend who I grew up with since we were children. I have no other friends beside him because of my shy personality.Even though I am not in a relationship with Hiroki, girls still hate me just in the sense I always around him.

I suddenly felt Hiroki letting me go so he could open his school locker. As I waited patiently for him, I notice Saaya Yamabuki walking towards our direction. Saaya is the leader of the Tadase and Hiroki fan club. She always so persistent to grab the Tadase’s or Hiroki’s attention. She alternates her days to grab one of the boys’ attention. If you ask me, I think she needs psychological help. Saaya greets Hiroki, totally ignoring me in the process, “Hiiiiiiiiiii Hiroki~!”

Hiroki didn’t even look at her and said in a monotone voice, “Hi Saaya.” I can tell Hiroki doesn’t want to talk to her, but in his polite nature he does so. I don’t really pay attention on what Saaya conversation with Hiroki. Well actually, I couldn’t say ‘conversation’ because a conversation takes two people exchanging words, and Saaya is actually doing all the talking. Hiroki is just listening what Saaya had to say to him.

I notice the time from the clock hanging on the wall. I tugged on Hiroki’s sleeve. Bashful as always, I informed Hiroki in a soft voice “Hiroki…class is goanna start soon.”

Saaya got furious at me for interrupting her ‘conversation’. She crosses her arms and glares at me, “Who the heck think you are?!How rude of you for interrupting our conversation.”

“Eh?” I stepped back at her sudden outburst. “I-I S-Sorry…I just…class gonna start soon.”

Saaya looked down at me and turned her head away with an “Hmph”. She happily grabs Hiroki’s arm tightly, “Walking with me, Hiroki!”

Hiroki eyes twitches, “No Thank you, Saaya.”

“Ah! Why not?! Walk with me for once instead of that her!” She points at me, letting him know who she was referring to.

Hiroki looks at Saaya seriously, “Because I just do, Saaya, I enjoy walking with her.”

Saaya got furious, and walked away from him. She walked past me with words that she knew I would be the only one be able to hear, “Stupid Girl. ”

I just stood there looking at the ground, allowing my bangs to cover my eyes. I tighten my fists out in anger. Her words repeated in my head. I hate it! Why couldn’t I say something, nor do something to defend myself?!

My eyes open wide in surprise as soon as I hear a tiny cute voice speak to me, “Don’t let her discourage you! Defend yourself! Character change!”

My body began to move on its own accord. I feel myself smirk and say, “Hey Saaya…”

Saaya stops and half-way turns her body to look at me. She has an aggravating expression plastered in her face, “What do you wan…W-W-Whaaaaat?!” Saaya’s eyes open wide like saucers as soon she takes notice of my actions.She sees that I grab hold of Hiroki’s right arm in an adoring manner as I grabbed his right cheek with my left hand as I plant a sweet kiss on his left cheek. My suddenactions cause Hiroki to blush like hell. After giving Hiroki his kiss on the cheek, I turn around and gave away a wink towards Saaya’s direction.

That created huge gush of flames exploding behind Saaya, “HOW DARE YOU?!?!Why Y-YOU!?!AGGGH!” She turns around and stomps away furiously.

“A-Azami?” Hiroki calls me, after he regains his composure.

I regain my consciousness and realize what I have just done. I blush and cover my mouth with my own two hands, “…Hiroki…I…”I didn’t understand what came over me. How could I do something like this? I could hear everyone that took notice of what just had happened began to whisper amongst themselves.

*Oh no!* I could feel that tears were about to come out, that I began to run away from the scene. I wanted to be anywhere, but here!

“Azami!” Hiroki yells which didn’t make me stop. I continue running out the school grounds.

//////////Hiroki’s Point of View//////////

Azami didn’t stop running, despite the fact that Hiroki yelled her name. She would usually stop when he would do that, but he guessed that this time the incident must have had reached her breaking point. Hiroki touched his left cheek with his hand where Azami kissed it. He could feel himself blush again. The bell rang, and the hall was soon cleared out except for Hiroki. This was an opportunity for a cute male Chara Knight to pop out of hiding.

“Ta Ta Ta!” The tiny Chara stretches as he is relieved from coming from darkness of Hiroki’s backpack. *Oh?* He floats close to Hiroki’s face and notices the redness across the cheeks. The Chara crosses his arms, *What happened to him?*

“Hey Hiroki.” He waves his tiny hands in front of his eyes, with no response. *What’s wrong with him?!* The tiny Chara asked himself.

“Oy! Hiroki! Snap out of it!”

“AH!”Hiroki was startled. “W-What?! Ah Kenta!” He quickly looks around to see if anyone was around.

Kenta’s hands are crossed over his chest as he floats in midair, “Don’t worry Hiroki. Everyone has gone to their class.”

“Agh, Come here.” Hiroki grabs Kenta and pulls him into the school’s library. Lucky for Kenta there was no one there, not even the librarian. Hiroki looks around making sure no one was around and let’s go of Kenta. Kenta squints his left eye as he rubs his neck. “Geesh Hiroki you didn’t have to pull on my collar that hard.”

“I’m Sorry Kenta.”

“Say Hiroki, Aren’t you supposed to be in class?”

“Oh yeah, but Azami ran off. I need to go get her.”

“Eh? Azami ran off?” This got Kenta’s attention, “Did you do something, Hiroki?”

Hiroki slightly glares at Kenta, “Of course not. She ran off because she kissed me in front of everyone.”

Kenta smirks, “Oooooh, She kissed you?”

Hiroki once again begins to blush, “She kissed me on the cheek! No big deal!”

Kenta laughs and winks at him, “You liked it didn’t you?”

“Kenta!” Hiroki become even redder.

“Hahahaha ok ok I’ll stop teasing you, but let’s get serious for a moment.”

Hiroki stops blushing, and listens what his little Chara character had to say. “Did you feel an egg a moment ago?”

Hiroki nods as Kenta lands on the window sill, “Yeah Kenta, but I couldn’t pin point where it was. The egg probably hasn’t hatched yet.”

Kenta’s hands are pressed against the window, “I think I might have an idea.”

“Eh?”Kenta points out the window to a male character changed into a cat. Hiroki compresses his teeth together in anger, and tightens his fists, “Ikuto...”

“You know Ikuto. I bet he’s after an egg.”

“Azami ran towards that direction! Kenta, you don’t think if Ikuto is running towards that direction, then you don’t think?” Hiroki looks at Kenta.

Kenta looks worried, “Whether Azami is the person with the near hatched egg, we cannot let Ikuto lay his filthy paws on her.”

“Right! Let’s go Kenta!”

“Into Battle!” Kenta pulls out his sword, which makes Hiroki sweat drop and think to himself, *Oooh Kenta.*
