Spring is magical and these colors just sang to be from behind the lens! For whatever reason, this capture just makes me feel good! Mild fade correction and clarity adjusts were made in PsP. Enjoy!- Taken with Nikon D60

Actually I still like the second one the best. Here is why; while I do like the addition of the moon in the shot, its too small to really impact the image. The rest of the image is also rather drab with no real focal point for the eye to be drawn too.
Your second photo was composed much better, and had two distinct ares that fit within the rule of thirds. In addition the colors make the image much more dynamic and draw the eye to each point in turn.
One thing you need to learn for proper composition is "the rule of thirds". You can look this up on the webb. if you start using this rule your photography will improve overnight. This rule works with drawings as well.

April Blooms is my favorite of the three as well, I will admit. For some reason though..I like the moon one maybe cause the clouds in the sky kind of look...I dunno...almost unreal. Three very different capture of the same tree.
Okay! I haven't heard about that one...I will go do the research on this 'Rule of Thirds' in Photography. You are such an awesome help!
