Location: Banigala, Islamabad, Pakistan
It is The celebration of the Independence of Pakistan today (The 14th of August). It is a time for cheer, laughter, flags, T-shirts, pins masks and all the paraphernalia that goes with it. I live in a rural area and I decided to see how the people in a nearby village were celebrating. Life is hard in pakistan and harder in the village and rural areas, For the menfolk and adults it was just another day, not many people could afford to take a break from work, businesses and shops. However the children obviously were having fun, dressed nicely, and all decked out in I love Pakistan things. It was their holiday ..and they wouldn't let it go waste.
