Description Location:   Sector I-11  Islamabad Pakistam

These children live are Pukhtoon refugees living in a slum colony in the Capital City (Islamabad).  I had earlier done a small journal on them inayatshah.deviantart.com/jour…
There is no running water in the slum colony ..the nearest public water point for them is over a kilometer away.  The children of the family make a few trips each day to the water point to collect water in old plastic containers pushed in makeshift wooden trolleys .. literally held together with nails and string and spit.

Sometime I wonder are we really living in the 21st Century.

This is a compelling photograph. I like how you can see the car in the background and in contrast to that these three children pushing a cart as they go to collect their water. Really makes you wonder about the world.

Unfortunately the world if full of such contrasts .. one really doesn't have to go far to see them

True, regardless of where you are in the world, you will be surrounded by such moments. It is quite sad indeed.

Thank you for this link, I was able to go to your channel, which I have just subscribed to. I have also watched some of your videos which were excellent. Watching Driving Thru Isloo made me feel like I was there, which was lovely. I found the one where you are talking about leadership very interesting, you have very good ideas. Plus it was nice to hear your voice, your accent is brilliant! I will be back to see the rest of your videos soon

You  are very welcome. I have just been to see that one. It is lovely and the music works perfectly with it. It sounds like you chose a good time to visit, I am so glad you weren't there the following week. That was lucky as it is an amazing looking site!

It does look amazing and the fact that you were the only people there explains why you were able to get some many great photographs of it all!

What is the gap between where you live and here? Is there a city you can contrast that to your locale?

This place is about 12 Kms from where I live.  I live in Banigala and its on the south East edge of Islamabad, this place is the South West edge of Islamabad.  Its about 5 Minutes drive from my Office.  The entire Capital city of Islamabad is inbetween.  Islamabad itself is very new city about 45 years old.  Its like a large suburbia, lots of green spaces and green boulevards and only a few high rise buildings.  If you look closely at some of these images you will see buildings in the background .. they are the outer edge of the industrial zone.  Light factories and industry.  Islamabad as a city I find pretty but photography wise not as interesting as where I usually go.  I would have given you a link to a small video I uploaded onto youtube .. but I cant find it.  Youtube is still banned in pakistan.  But you can try and find it using my gmail id ias7831 ... there are about 3-4 videos uploaded one of them should be the drive from my house to office.  It will give you an idea what Islamabad is like
