Description Iozo and Aristo had gone missing.

For a whole month, the Rookery had waited for its master and her mount to return. In its stead, her uncle had been left in charge, and while it had been running relatively smoothly, trouble was sure to rise without its owner. For that month, November had anxiously awaited the return of his father and rider. They had claimed they would be gone a few days, a week at most. But a month had passed by, and November finally made a decision...He would find them.

It wasn't that hard to leave the Rookery. A few locks picked with his talons and he was out, soaring free through the air. Gliding above the Valley, he could see little villages and things below of the various Faun tribes. His heart told him to go search down there, as a bit of a 'just in case' scenario, but his gut told him that they were still far beyond...Far to the north. He flapped his wings silently through the night, his breath making foggy little clouds that trailed past him. He loved this little valley, all its beautiful aspens and flowing plains, the little huts of nomads and the bulky, leather buildings of the main camps. But he knew that they wouldn't be staying here. They had to be north.

The North...

November fondly remembered his days in the frozen mountains with a bittersweet sensation. It was where he had been hatched, within an icey cave on the tallest mountain. His companion was a yeti-like creature with shaggy fur who had cradled him in his arms, and in the summer months, they had ventured down to the coniferous forests, enjoying the bounty of the land. It was there that November had learned to fly and to hunt...But it was also the place where he had found his rider dead and charred. He shivered midflight, despite not being cold from the chilly air. He always knew he would never get over it.

It wasn't long, while he was soaring through the mountains, that he heard the shrill cry from deep within a cave. It sounded shrill, yet gurgling, and rung out around the moutains. He had the distinct feeling of fear creeping from his gizzard, yet his curiousity made him interested in the sound. Slowly and silently, he drifted down from the still, mountain air, before ducking into a small, tyto-sized hole. For a moment, he simply dived down, his wings tucked at his sides, the rock scraping at his hide, but when he emerged, he was caught off guard by the scene in front of him.

There was a Corva and a Tyto, that much he could tell, attacking a beast of immense size. November had never seen a Gryph before--But if he had to put a word to this monster, he was sure it was him. All around the behemoth's body were gouges and strikes, presumably from his attackers, but then he realized the creatures on their backs...

Humans.

He froze in fear, suddenly caught mid-air, his wings managing to keep him afloat on the breeze drifting in from what he presumed was the main mouth of the cave. He started feeling light-headed, and instinct made him freeze in place. Humans were dangerous, and this beast was dangerous. Likely, so were these Stryx. What was he thinking? There was no way he could take on a Gryph, or these riders, if they were unfriendly...

But, if they were friendly, they would need his help. They hadn't even noticed him yet (Thank the Stag and the Maiden for that...) but he managed to recover himself enough to swoop in.

The sooner that Geiger fell, the sooner he could get some answers.

...

WOW THAT WAS A DOOZY

never writing that much again omfg

November 940  joins the fight to killing Geiger and find bird dad

Lets hope he doesn't get destroyed

*crosses fingers*

So, I want to just apolagize to 10animallover10 for the wait, and for the fact that i couldn't get Dahlia down for you. Hopefully attacking Geiger is the next best thing? Either way, it is some AP for your birds.

Thank you very much! I really like this artwork! Thank you for adding Scyleia and Shelala in still, even though they are small :3 The artstyle is very nice and the atmosphere too, it's a dangerous foe and you see that due to the darker colors and the light behind them of the caves mouth^^

I like the little story you added, getting ti know November a bit more, a bit more of his history and fear of humans :3
(I looked at his import, nice touch with the blue paint^^ It's the same color Shelala wears during ceremonies :3)

He looks very cool yes I like his design, it's like a Lammergeier  Oh can I upload this piece in my own Gallery while crediting you? If you don't want to, I won't but you can't blame a girl for trying

Pain indeed is underrated overall, not just with Stryx. That's why I use it on special occasions for my Amazons, the Stryxes are 'special' or 'connected' to their Riders due to their feather accesories on the tail like I stated :3
