DESCRIPTION: Sammi, despite being a slime queen, is actually relatively human-sized due to her desire to fit in with civilization, at the cost of being incapable of producing the Gelatin that acts as most slimes’ primary offensive weapon in battle. She is also relatively human-shaped, with a voluptuous (if rather chubby) figure inspired by her infrequent interactions with “other” queens. Though she could theoretically store gravs and allies in the process of rebirthing anywhere in her body, she will most often prefer to store them in her belly like most other maiesta; though she’ll happily redistribute some of her gravs to her breasts if she needs a “charisma boost,” if you know what I mean... ;D She is a relatively violet-colored slime, with pomegranate-red eyes and “hair” streaked with a similar color that reaches all the way down to her hips. Her Core, a fist-sized sphere of the same color as her eyes, can sometimes be seen floating in the general area where another creature's heart would be. She has no legs; being a gravimancer, she most frequently ends up moving by floating across the ground, with the thinning "tail" trailing out where her legs would be giving her a ghost-like appearance. She will most often clothe herself richly, with a small collection of golden bangles and amulets adorning her wrist and neck, a circlet perched atop her head, and an embroidered cloak wrapped around (or rather, sticking to) her body. Her weapon of choice is an iron scepter, with which she can perform basic combat magic. It would be a more powerful weapon, but its previous owner had it covered it with golden foil, increasing its monetary value substantially while simultaneously dampening the effects of the runes that grant it magical power in the first place.

PERSONALITY: Sammi is among the most sapient of "colonial" slimes, and is capable of maintaining a very human-like thought process. While most slime queens show their desire to live up to their names by hoarding objects of wealth and beauty, though, Sammi desires the adoration and lifestyle of other races’ royals, which ultimately led her to taking on a more humanoid and mobile form in order to embark on adventures as a representative of her mother’s kingdom. Of course, she’s still a colony slime at her core, and thus is still a long way away from attaining the sophistication and bearing that she desires. She is scatterbrained and silly, with a terrible short-term memory that often makes her the worst choice for picking out supplies or recalling key details in times of crisis. She also retains the massive appetite of most other slime queens, and will happily consume anything given to her when hungry, regardless of taste.

HISTORY: Sammi, like the majority of the instinct-driven slimes, was born without a name. She was raised in a slime colony that made its home in an ancient castle between a lake and a large monster-infested forest - probably not the safest or most fortified location its architect could have picked, but an ideal base of operations for a slime colony due to the proximity to both naturally-growing fruits and a water source with which to revive fallen drones and queens if they were to fall in combat during their duty. Being a slime queen, she would have normally spent the first month of her life under the care of her mother, then dispatched with a small horde of underlings in order to colonize another area of the forest. But that never happened; because only a few days after, a small group of adventurers lead by a warrior-princess (and a gifted Maiesta, because of course she was ) arrived to retrieve an artifact that had been lost in the castle ages ago. Both Sammi and her mother were immediately struck with awe by the manners and actions of actual royalty. Though the slimes didn't know where the artifact was held, the young woman's party was allowed to search the castle until they found it. Sammi, still being relatively impressionable, immediately took to the warrior-princess, and followed her around the castle during their two weeks of searching. She mastered the Common tongue in record time, and eventually began imitating her idol's mannerisms and poise, with varying results. During the misadventures that Sammi was dragged into during these two weeks, she received her name from the warrior-princess, learned some basic Gravimancer spells, and discovered her abilities as a Maiesta. But when the warrior-princess finally found the artifact and left, she was heartbroken. Yearning to go on her own adventures in the outside world, Sammi somehow managed to convince her mother that she could do the slime race just as much good as an emissary to the outside world, and that she should be allowed to go on adventures that would benefit slimekind. Equipped with a somewhat damp cloak and a gilded staff, she set out to seek adventure, meet new people, experience new things, and live up to her title as a slime queen! (Assuming she doesn't get lost on the way, of course...)
