Description

She needed more.

Accompanying Captain Toad in his adventure, Toadette could only think this as the perilous journey with the friendly, yet mostly boring explorer had allowed her to tag along. Discovering ruins, seeing lush and exotic vegetation, admiring locales that were mysterious beyond the boring routine, those were the terms that the good captain had told her about, his words seeming sincere and passionate. She believed him too.

The thing, though, was that all those superb benefits went to a benign second place in importance when Toadette saw the other stuff that the adventurer usually saw: treasure. Golden mushrooms, coins galore, diamonds, stars, they were all there for the taking and none could really stop them from filling their pouches, sacks and chests to their heart content. While the captain seemed to still put discovery before riches in terms of importance, the tag-along saw it differently. Why not do both and, when they reach home, live comfortably for the rest of their lives? With this train of thought firmly set in her mind, the good little help went along in these explorations, always on the lookout for possible monetary gains.

After a big adventure involving a large bird and much treasure-tracking, the duo continued their journey as they then went inside a temple in the Dry Desert. The temple, belonging to a great ruler named Toadankhamon, was one which had never been explored, mostly due to a rumor involving a curse that scared people away. The location, somewhere in the middle of the desert, did not help either, yet both Captain Toad and Toadette saw it as their duty to go on and explore the mysterious locale. Well, duty being the captain's motivation, in any case.

Their courage being boosted due to them surviving and thriving in their latest adventure, both of them eventually did discover the temple, as it was only a small entrance covered by sand, one that led underground. Opening up their frontal flashlight, both mushroom-people then entered the dusty temple, both with different expectations in mind.

''Now, let's be careful Toadette. There might be dangerous traps in here and I'm not sure if we'll be lucky enough to get mushrooms in here,'' the careful captain warned, being in front as he turned around to look at his companion.

''I'm sure we'll be fine. This smells like money in here, and I intend to get a good amount of it for our trouble,'' the aide retorted, already hell-bent on fulfilling her greedy desires.

''Let's just not be hasty. We were lucky in the past as we had everything we could need, with turnips, pickaxes and switches being set in the right place. We have no reason to think it'll be the same here,'' Captain Toad explained, soldiering on as he looked at the walls to check for potential archeological finds.

''Sure, sure. Don't worry about me, it's not like a huge bird will swoop down on me like last time, captain,'' Toadette joked, keeping her eyes open for any coins that she could get her hands on. Uninterested in whatever historical or cultural discovery that could be in front of her, the money-grubbing woman went ahead, anxious to see the riches such a temple could conceal.

Both toads, however, were soon blocked by a forking path as the way was divided in a left and right direction. With no way of knowing just where any of this would lead, the captain then looked at Toadette, ready to suggest a course of action, only for Toadette going past him, heading to the left. ''Let's split up! We can cover more ground that way,'' she energetically explained as she never waited for an answer from the explorer himself. She liked the guy tremendously, yet he could be a stick in the mud sometimes and she felt that this was one of those times. As he was stickler for caution and safety, Toadette was instead not adverse to risk if it meant winning big in the end.

Seeing that the adventurer had apparently ceded in her demand of splitting up after a few minutes, Toadette then explored what seemed to be a simple tomb. A sarcophagus was laying in the middle of a large square-like room, with urns set everywhere near him. Figuring that those were perhaps recipients for the riches of whoever was important enough to have a room like as his own resting place, the greedy girl then went on to pillage the whole place, hoping to have massive gains here. Opening every single urns and checking twice, all she could see was either nothing, or plain dust as there was seemingly no treasure to be found here. Disappointed, she prepared to turn around to look for her companion, until she saw a peculiar thing.

In the corner near the entrance of the room, a different kind of urn was set there. Piquing her curiosity, the money-hungry adventurer went on to open it up, which activated a trap as a clicking sound could be heard. The floor opening under her, Toadette had barely the time to scream for help before she was sent downward, even more underground as she slid toward oblivion. Cursing herself for her lack of precautions, she thought about the small things that Captain Toad had said to her. It seemed the foolish woman would find her just dessert for acting on mere impulses, or so she thought, as she finally landed on something solid.

Thankful for being made of stern stuff, her frontal light had dimmed down due to the impact. Banging on it a little to reactivate the light, the vision that greeted her eyes was an heavenly one as she gasped in pure surprise. Under the tomb, it seemed, laid a veritable cache of coins, gems and other valuables, each of them still somewhat shiny as the light made them sparkle. Screaming her happiness with a hearty squeal, the aide then went on to fill the pouches she had brought with her, the clinging sound bringing her a special sort of satisfaction as she would get even richer after this little adventure.

After a few minutes of pilfering through it all, she went to the center of this seemingly circular room, only to find a beautiful object, one that made everything in this room pale in comparison. It was an oil lamp, yet made of solid gold, as mushrooms were sculpted in its orb-like shape, with rubies adorning it to add to its select craftsmanship. Something about it, in its own way, made it seem all the more precious as Toadette then got much closer to observe it.

Mere inches away from the assuredly valuable object, the pleased helper then picked it up, ready to put it in the bag then look for an exit to get the captain's help to grab the rest of the loot. However, a single detail was amiss as the lamp was a touch dirty on its handle. This single occurrence bugging her, the female companion then went on to use her own clothes to clean it up, which produced a particular oddity. Shaking, the lamp fell to the ground as it then poured smoke beyond belief. Obscuring the place, Toadette began to cough as the smell, while not unpleasant, was filling the room. Scared that this was one of the trap Captain Toad had warned her about, the helpless girl began to feel helpless, until the smoke cleared the room in a very sudden manner. Clearing her throat, Toadette was then greeted with something that was rather atypical...

In front of her stood a particularly tall and, dare she say, beautiful mushroom woman she had ever seen. Like a mix between herself and Princess Peach, she had a svelte body, a beautiful face and she was dressed in a manner that seemed odd, yet also one that revealed her curves all the more. A low-cut top, puffy pants, curved slippers, golden accessories like earrings, a tiara along her pink mushroom top and long blonde hair, her red outfit covered only her legs, top and lower midsection, leaving her midriff and the rest completely exposed. Like a harem girls in the tales of old, this woman was an exotic and alluring person, one that Toadette could certainly see many men fawn over without her even trying. The woman, looking at her with a faint smile, then stretched herself until she then bowed in a respectful manner before the greedy and diminutive explorer.

''Greetings, mistress. I am the gen-''

''Are you a genie? Like in the old tales? Do I get three wishes or something like that?'' Toadette immediately said, excited at the prospect of seeing something that she thought she immediately recognized.

''Uhmm...sure. Yes, I am a genie and I'm here to grant your wishes. That's right,'' the genie toad said, surprised to see such a reaction from a mortal who had just saved her.

''Cool! I wish for a body just like yours!'' the energetic Toadette retorted, never quite letting the powerful spirit say anything about the specifics.

''...granted,'' the genie answered, snapping her fingers before sending a cloud of mist from her navel toward the small toad woman. The mist, slipping through various pores of her skin, then made Toadette puff around in various places as her body got taller. Her proportions elongating, her clothes could barely do the trick as her midriff was left exposed by her taller disposition. Her legs following suit, she was then about as tall as the genie now, with her legs being slender and revealed as her shorts could only cover he bare essential.

Then, her breasts and butt began to swell, matching the sublime body the genie possessed as her body began to lose balance in this repartition of weight at the front and rear of her body. Dizzy because of this sudden change, it wasn't yet over as her body then began to sway around like a snake. As if she was dancing, her body then began to sculpt its own curves as her hips began to expand and form themselves to suit this alluring new shape. after a few seconds of shaking and swaying around, Toadette then regained control of her actions as she admired what she had become. Now even prettier than any princess, by her own standards, she was a thing of beauty that could not be denied. Looking at the genie, she then gave her a friendly smile as she felt no embarrassment at being left with her skin so revealed.

''Thank you, genie. You did a wonderful job!'' she chirped, never minding how weird the process had been to live through.

''You're welcome, however, I may have something to say and-''

''My second wish is for all of this treasure to get back to my house right this instant!'' Toadette continued, interrupting the genie, who seemed concerned for some reason about the nonchalant attitude her current mistress was showing.

''As you wish,'' the genie responded, sending more mist out of her navel to then envelop all the treasure, including the one in Toadette's bag, making it disappear as she snapped her fingers. ''Please, listen to me, there's something really important you need to know and it's primordial that you listen to-'' the genie began to say, sounding alarmed and worried as she got much closer to her mistress, hoping to warn her urgently.

''Next, I wish for me to get back to the room above this one!'' Toadette said with enthusiasm, her own contentment making her awkwardly unaware of the fact that the genie was trying to communicate with her.

With an air of sad abandon, the genie then snapped her fingers, teleporting them both as well as the lamp, who hadn't budged despite the latest wish, back to the tomb above them. Doing so, her jewelry then dissolved away as a saddened expression could be seen on her face.

''What's wrong? Did I do something bad?'' Toadette asked, showing concern far too lately as the jewelry then reappeared on her own body. Her clothes twisting and changing, she now had the same kind of harem clothing as the genie as her expression changed from curiosity to fear, as the explorer then looked at the genie.

''I tried to warn you. If I grant three wishes, I go free and you'll have to take my place as the new genie of the lamp. Now, only someone wishing you away from this fate can save you. Let's just hope that your mind is strong enough to resist the allure of the lamp, little one,'' the genie said, before disappearing away as if she was being teleporting away by a strange force.

Dumbfounded by this sudden development, Toadette began to wonder what she meant by that, until she felt an irrepressible force tug at her. Turning around to see just what was the cause of this, she could see the lamp floating above the ground, its spout pointing at her as a soft music could be heard coming from the object. Shocked about this development, Toadette thought to run away, yet strangely couldn't as her legs couldn't budge. More than that, she soon began to think that she had no reason to get away from the lamp in the first place. Aware that her thoughts were being twisted, her alarming panic was subdued with every passing seconds as the lamp began to glow, its gems and gold surface calling to her as her eyes were glued to the beautiful artifact.

The music, imperceptible at first, went on to reveal a mellow melody, one that was relaxing, yet full of an unknown beat that she could not get enough of. Its clarity being enhanced by the moment, the transforming Toadette then could not deny a sudden desire to dance, as if an unseen command was sent to her head to do so. The idea to obey this order soon becoming irresistible, Toadette then went on to lift her arms up as the swaying and shaking sensation she had felt at first while being changed into a taller and sexier version of herself returning. This time, however, there was more grace as she felt the lamp watching her, judging her performance as she had to submit to its invisible superiority. The lamp would soon have her, yet she had to humor it in order to convince her at first.

Whether it was subliminal or merely a product of her own imagination, Toadette could not see the difference between the two now as she then went on to dance. As if decades of knowledge in an art she had never practiced before was being implemented in her thoughts, the subjugated toad danced with grace and allure, combining art with seduction as she then swayed her hips from left to right. Her hands and arms acting like serpents under the command of the lamp, she then rolled her belly, hoping that this sensual performance would please the authority of the artifact. Getting closer to the floating lamp, she then bowed on all four before the golden item, submitting to it as her spirit was tamed and loving it. She knew what she was now: the genie of this lamp.

And she would have to obey.

Dissipating into a thick pink smoke, Toadette was then sucked inside the object, a new destiny awaiting her as the lamp then landed on the ground gently, ready for whoever would pick it up. The cycle would go on and this woman was merely another cog in the mechanism...

However, fate had it that a faint voice came from afar in the temple, one who was getting closer to the lamp.

''Toadette?''

''So, my dear captain, how was your latest adventure? Did you find anything interesting?''

Captain Toad, serving himself and his guest, a professor at the Mushroom Kingdom's institution of archaeology a cup of tea, soon placed a number of old, but very well-conserved urns on the table nearby. Sitting down, he then looked at his colleague with a little smile. ''It was fantastic, professor. With this, we may push forth link of how Toadankhamon was able to trade with other nations, and there may be hints as to how they proceeded with their burial rites. As usual, I'll report everything I find to the institution and give most of my findings there for research.''

''Everything but the treasures, I'm sure. You still have to pay yourself in some manners, right?'' the professor joked, sipping his tea as he observed the urn with interest. ''Where is your aide, by the way? She's usually around here at this hour. Is she sick?'' he then asked, concerned.

''She's fine. She had a little accident in the temple, but I'm taking care of her right now. She should be up and about soon,'' the captain said, reassuring him as he then presented more ancient artifacts to his friend.

Getting up, the professor then grabbed everything, putting it in special compartment in a sealed case, seemingly anxious to see what mystery these things hid. ''So, was there any truth to the curse of Toadankhamon?'' he jokingly asked, obviously unconcerned by such a thing considering his friend had returned unharmed.

''I think it was just a rumour and nothing else. Or maybe Toadette got hit by it and took the brunt of the nefarious little curse by herself. Still, I think it was just an exaggeration of constant bad luck by less-talented explorers or something like that,'' the captain retorted, helping the professor by carrying some of his stuff.

''Oh well. I'll contact you soon, my friend. Take care of yourself and give Toadette my best,'' the professor said, going away from the captain's house with the important findings.

Sighing in relief, Captain Toad then went on to pick up an artifact that he hadn't given away: a lamp. Rubbing it, his aide then emerged from the spout, in a form that still left him severely blushing as she took a pose that made it all the more awkwardly alluring for him. With a little wink, she then bowed before him in a respectful manner, an act that wasn't exactly usual coming from the Toadette he knew.

''Hello again, master. How may your genie slave serve you today?'' she gently said, looking at him with a sexy smirk on her face.

Captain Toad, aware of what this was, knew exactly what this implied as he had read many manuscripts involving such being as genies. Not quite certain how his helper had turned into an admittedly beautiful creature like this, the good captain felt like this was her just dessert for being so greedy and obtuse when it came to exploration. With the very firm intention of releasing her from this curse by using his third wish, the adventurer then looked at the uncharacteristically compliant and helpful Toadette, chuckling gently.

Perhaps, this way, she'd learn to listen to him before acting...

I chuckled at "Toadankhamon". That was very clever.

Thanks. Gotta keep the silly nature of those games, after all.

This is a great story! Β And maybe this will teach Toadette to be a little more cautious in the future.

She certainly is a treasure to an brave little man.

Yep, adding genie to some sexy descriptions do tend to make things better, doesn't it?

Glad this story had a (somewhat) good ending this time. And hope Toadette has her sense of self still, cause she's gonna need to learn her lesson soon enough while she's stuck like that. If not, then Toad will have the means to do so himself anyway when he frees her. And I really think this would make a great comic also! Hope someone does one on this some time.

This would indeed make for a fun little comic.

As for the ending, Captain Toad is a good guy, so I'm pretty sure Toadette will eventually end up okay.

Yeah. So it's basically a win-win situation for the good guys today. And to be honest here, it feels like a nice change from the endings you made in the past when you first came here, cause most of them felt kinda sad or depressing. With some exceptions of course since there were ones where the good guys won in a different manner, the bad guys just didn't win anything involving their original goal, or nobody won at all but turned out okay in the end. Wish you can have more stories with endings like this one to help cheer up fans of the good guys.
