i noticed, i probably sounded a bit rude in my previous comment. so, let me give you some advice. i think, the "random" option in effects is used way too often and in most cases without any skill. as the name suggests, it produces random results. i think it is not very desirable, to have something that reacts to music (a preset) and then add something that makes it act random. randomness is great to add some suprise, but unexpectable behaviour often is "random" and it distracts the viewer in a bad way.

however, i'm not against using random effects. random effects need some control over them. i think it works best as a second effect, while the primary first effect does something very constantly. a random effect that gets triggered at a predictable time, yet doing a random effect at this time, is very powerful.

so, why am i writing all this? i'm extremely picky about color-transitions as produced by your colormap. don't use random here, it doesn't work! as pointed out earlier, i would've loved the dynmov to change directions for every 1st or 2nd beat. you have a major change happening by doing so, so you can use a subtle colormap change that isn't random.

This is a nice preset! especially good for your first attempt.

much respect for your first preset. what i don't like about it, it keeps spinning in the same direction. also not to keen about the color transitions. otherwise a great one!
