BRIGHT
She, who watches the moon and the stars.

Once again, Sora was crying at night. She has been always afraid of the dark, because darkness meant death, vain and sorrow to her. She hated the night and hated the moon and the stars, because they only came out at night, and tried to imitate the sun, the bright sun which gives light, warmth and happiness and each and every night these hideous and unnecessary copycats tried to be like her and tried to bright up the night, like the sun does at daytime, but couldn't be like her.
And again, Sora was awake at night, but this time, because she dreamt, the stars where talking to her, more like they tried to tell her something, but she couldn't understand what it was. It sounded like thousands and thousand of voices were softly telling her diffrent poems and some of these voices were also singing but all of these poems and songs soundes sorrowful and as Sora remembered their sound the felt deeply sad and was crying. She wondered why the stars were so unhappy but then thought, it was only a bad dream and accursed the night and the stars and felt again hatered against nighttime. But things haven't gotten better, and she dreamed the same dream every night. More and more she started to realize, that this wasn't just a bad dream. So she woke up again, stood up and sat now on the left edge of her bed and looked out of the window. The moon was shining and also the stars were. As soon as she thought about her dream again, with the sad stars, she started crying, so bitter and so long and felt sorry. Felt sorry without really having a reason, she just felt sorry for the stars that they are so sad.
"Tell me, why are you so sad? Why do you visite me in my dreams, for weeks now, tell me, what is you filling with sorrow?", she wheezed and was still crying so bad. She waited for an answer, waited for hearing voices or anything like in her dream, but nothing. Just silence. She was full of anger and stopped crying. She stood up and went nearer to her window and looked with rage in her eyes in the black sky.
"That's why I hate you! The night, the stars and the moon, just everything that has to do with the night! No one needs you, your not even bright enough to fill the night with light, so why do you even exist? Trying to be the sun? I tried to help you, but you were only haunting me in my sleep, with thousands of voices I can not even distinguish. With you or without you, the night is dark, you can't change this fact!" She stood for another few seconds still in front of her window as she was waiting for something but then returned into her bed again and fell asleep.
From this night on, she heard no voices any longer in her dream but she clearly dreamt of something: nothing. It was just pitch black. Although she knows, that in her dream she had her eyes wide open, she couldn't see anything. It felt like being in a really big dark room, that was freezing cold, too. She woke up, stood up and couldn't see anything. Although she was lying under her blanket, she was very cold, so cold that she shivered. Sora carefully got out of her bed and tried to reach for her light switch. As the light went on, she wondered why it was so dark, because, although it's nighttime, you can still see outlines of anything at least. She went to her window and opened it: It was just black. It felt like everything outside was painted pitch black. Sora wondered if she was dreaming or not and what was happening. She closed the window again, switched out the lights and sat on her bed.
"Maybe my eyes are still tired and can't see that good in the dark". She lied down, with her face to the window and fell asleep.
She dreamt of the last time she saw the moon and the stars. The moon was a half moon and about to dissapear and the stars were like they always are, but suddenly the moon dissapeared completly and Sora heared these sad voices again, but more dull. At this point, everything in her dream felt so hollow and mournful, especially herself. She stared at the sky, and slowly, the stars were dissapearing, too, and with them, the voices. When all of the stars were just petty white points in the sky, however, there was one star, shining so bright, that it was blending Sora and it seemed, that it was slowly moving towards her. It took some minutes, but now a car big glowing ball was in front of Sora's room, and filled the room with light. First Sora was scared, but then opened the window at was just staring at a glowing something. She felt it's heat and saw, the shimmery the 'star' was.
"What are you? Are you even real?", she asked the star and still, anything sounded so dull. Few seconds past by, and she heard a silent sobbing.
"Little girl, why do you hate us and why do you hate the moon?"
Sora went completly pale and didn't know, if the star was talking to her or not, because the voice came from all directions. She stayed quite.
"You are something special and you don't even know. We saw you, how you're embracing the sun and how you love feeling the sun. We are always there, we, the stars and also the moon, but at daytime you can't see us. We have never seen someone so in love with the sun and hateful towards the night. But you just don't understand. We also love the sun, especially the moon does. The moon and the sun, they are in love now for an eternity..."
"If they are in love, then why aren't they together? I mean, you can't see the sun and the moon together, like never!", Sora interupted the star.
"You see: The sun burns every day, so bright, and the moon can only show herself in the night. The sun cries every day and hopes, if he hides from the sky, maybe he can than see the moon. That's why the sky becomes dark, because the sun doesn't want to shine. The moon goes astray, while the sun is thinking, how he can see the moon. Yes the sun can not see the moon, but he can hear and feel her. He feels her soul... You know, the sun loves the moon so much, he dies every night to let the moon breathe."
Sora felt so sad, she couldn't even talk. Her heart was broken, by the thought, that someone would die for someone, so he can be.
"We try to make the moon feel better. She's filled with sorrow and so are we, but we try our best. But sometimes, the moon, she dissapears. We are all on our own, without the luminosity of the moon. And then, we cry for her, singing songs, telling poems, so she can hear us and come back. We miss her. And you, you are just like her. In love with the sun and hates it, when he's gone."
"... maybe she needs someone like her.", Sora said, "someone like her, someone who comforts her, when she's filled with sadness and sorrow. You are just like the moon, always sad. This doesn't help her at all."
"But what can we do. Her sadness makes us sad also. Everytime she cries, we cry."
Sora stood there, stared at the star, and heared, how the star was still sobbing. Is really every star so sad? She rememered the voices the dreamt about. Poor sun and moon.
"But why do I hear you at night?", she asked the star.
"Because you understand her but also hate her. You're the same and we love watching you and love making the night brighter for you, but you just seem to not understand..."
Sora was not crying so bad and so loud. She was so ashamed of herself, for hating the moon and the stars. The night was their air. And she just wanted them dead. Without the night, there wouldn't be the sun. They want to hold their hands. But they will never collide.
"I'm so sorry. I don't want you to be gone, and I don't want you to be sad. Without you, there wouldn't be us human. We forget the fact, that without darkness, there is no brightness. Without shadows, there is no light. Without the moon, there is no sun. And without the night there is no day. Please, let me help you. I want to be with you. I've seen the sun so much, every day of my life, without understanding anything and now, my heart is broken apart. I've never felt so sad in my life so please, forgive me and let me help you, for as long as the sun and the moon exist."

She's like the nightsky herself; always having the moon and the stars now by her side. Everywhere the moon goes, she goes with her. The stars are not sad anylonge, because they know, that the moon is never alone, no matter where she goes and they know, that she'll always come back. From this night on, they are singing happy songs and telling everyone the story of the human, who's the night herself, watching everyone and anything. She, who is watching the moon and the stars.
