It has some sort of... antique effect. Also, some sort of effect, to make her skin look enveloped. Looks more like a painting than a photo to me.

Supposed to, yes, but I would imagine (not having worked with models myself) that you could attempt to draw out the look as well. I think she doesn't look entirely comfortable.
However, I do agree with the good pinup comments. The style you present this in works well for a pinup series.
