wonderful use of texture and colour. I love the way her face and the parasol are backlit.

I must admit that came out ok. I was really lucky that the lighting on the dress fit extremely well with the background with a few extra tweaks of course, but I have missed a bit of shading on the left hand side top step and on the very last line of the dress on the floor. I'll correct it later when I'm in the mood.

I didn't spot those - because I am so used to people totally ignoring lighting issues altogether seeing a pic wher they are pretty much right feels soooo good

I'm a bit obsessed with lighting and placement. I read your recent "rant" about the details and I must admit you are completely correct. What drives me nuts the most is a picture made of a few different stock elements that are all different resolutions and quality aaaarrrggghh drives me crazy.

and depth of field ... you use the term and people say "whats that?"

no your not being a bitch your being a little more honest. People are so worried about hurting everyones feelings that they never hear or give an honest opinion so the artist believes they're doing great, no reson to try and strive for something else is there? No encouragementment to learn and better yourself. I've been using photoshop now for just over a year and every pic I've done I've used a new leason learnt, through tuts, its not easy its not meant to be.

Thanks, its a little too sweet for me but my husband liked it. I just couldn't seem to take it anywhere else, if that makes any sense, and I've just noticed loads of errors oh well thats what you get when you do something half asleep.
