Bullet Train [2022] Action/Comedy film directed by David Leitch has been out for a few months now, and I put off posting many pictures here because I didn't want to spoil anything for those who haven't yet seen the film, however, at this point I think most people who were looking forward to the film have finally had ample opportunity to watch it, and I don't think that there is much that I can ruin for them with my pictures. Perhaps even seeing the pictures might encourage someone to watch the film who hasn't seen it. Despite what some critics have said, I found the film to be both laugh out loud funny, and incredibly touching. There were several scenes that really touched my heart deeply. In my opinion the western PR for the film did a very annoying and offensive job of publicizing the film towards the end, basically cutting out Mr. Sanada and Mr. Koji from the previews, which was upsetting for many of the Asian fans I have spoken to. I definitely don't understand why they did this, and I really believe they should have handled it better. However, I hope that the short-sightedness of the team that created the publicity/ads for the film won't detract world-wide audiences from their enjoyment of this beautifully done film. The director did a fantastic job of translating a wonderful novel to the screen, and managing to convey the story and the rather complex character interactions/history. Mr. Sanada and Mr. Koji's performances as father and son were absolutely the heart of the film for me personally, and I loved their scenes together. Both gentlemen are fantastic performers physically and emotionally. Thank you so much to everyone involved with the making of this film!!
