I didn't watch the movie sadly but I do remember the end of the anime and that was a lot of feels. Soon I'll be able to watch the movie, at least I hope!

Yup, the end of the anime is full off feels on its own. I'm rewatching the anime right now and I plan to jump right into watching the movie again which should go over really well in the feels department lol.

I'm glad to hear that you did! I've watched it several times since completing this art and it does that for me every time, it's such a well done movie. I'm happy that they decided to make it in the first place.

It's amazing!! This movie was awesome and hit the nostalgic cord for those who grew up with the original series. But my gosh, that line you mentioned, brings me to tears, especially in the way Yugi's voice actor Dan Green delivered it.

It sure did hit all the right places. Oh hell, I know right? When they first released that clip in English and I listened to it I felt it so deep down, and of course knowing what happens in the movie since I saw it while in Japan it really makes everything feel like it went sort of full circle. I'd like to think Yugi did get to thank him. ;3;

IT SURE DID. It hurt seeing it in Japanese cause one could put two and two together seeing the flashback ( in which I believe my reaction was "oh no not a damn flash back D: " ), but hearing the dub version of the scene hurt so much more. Dan Green did such a great job with the emotion in his delivery of Yugi's lines in that scene. I'm glad too though, even though that brief reunion between them also hurts so much.

Oh yeah, the flashback with its minor words in Japanese hurt, but with Dan Green... Good Egyptian gods I cried when i first saw the trailer for it a year ago.
The reunion was sad too, but at least they got to say, to each other, their final goodbyes

Yeah, there's just something about the English version of that scene that I love so much more, beyond nostalgia and bias of course lol. Though I like the movie overall in english too probably because of that bias, especially the dub music they added into that reunion scene. oohh boy ~

I love the movie in both points because they being different, but similar things in other scenes. This one really brings the nostalgia and makes the heart race for those who saw the dub first.

I can agree with that, but the original sub was interesting for the more indepth it gave to the story.

Yes definitely. I still need to sit down and watch it with subs, I've only seen bits and pieces of it so far because I wanted to see the differences for certain scenes I was interested in

This is such a powerful piece. I love that you included Atem in this drawing. I always knew that Yugi believed in Atem. Even if he had to move on there is no way he could forget Atem. That is why the background and the lighting and everything else about this drawing. It really helps me to understand and feel the connection that Yugi had with Atem. Nice work.
