personality: despite her comely appearance, kala can actually be quite rude when someone first meets her, at least, for foreigners that is. she is disrespectful towards non-hawaiians, especially europeans. she can also be fierce, and is very stubborn; she can easily stand up for herself.
once one gets to know her, she tends to soften up slightly. she is very fond of children and other women, and cares deeply about them. she tends to be able to find light in even the darkest of places, and enjoys what she has to it's fullest. she takes nothing for granted; almost everything is used. she likes relaxing, and although most of the time she's serious, she does have lazy moments.

appearance: kala has very long, messy black hair that is often tangled. normally, there is a flower crown on top of her head; beads and bracelets are also a common site to see on her. she wears a flower-pattern pink toga (which does not cover the whole of her chest) under her brightly colored cape (this symbolized power).
