History: Over 12,000 years ago, Mothra was the guardian of the ancient world, and lived alongside an advanced civilization. When scientists from the civilization created a climate-controlling device, the Earth became offended and created a dark Mothra, Battra, to destroy the device. After destroying the device, Battra decided to eradicate the entirety of humanity, forcing Mothra to do battle with him. After a long battle that destroyed the entire civilization, Mothra defeated Battra and sealed him in the North Sea. Mothra then took up residence on Infant Island, along with the Cosmos, the only remnants of the ancient civilization.
