It's made of Fimo. I have no idea, what that means in english....Shanks' hat is lying behind the chest.
It broke apart in the heating - I have no idea why; I swear it was firm when I put it in! Is it because my clay is too old/dry? Or is it because the heat makes it unstable before it hardens?
Please help me!

heat softens it before it hardens so things tend to shift and colaspe.
also you'll get more hits on a search if you use luffy instead of ruffy.

a metal frame usually is a good start to help if your piece is large enough.
and yeah most americans prefer luffy, since ruffy was the name used in a horrible horrible dub rendition of the show. (4kids)

That's a good advice for sure. I stabled the palm with wire already and the only thing falling apart was Ruffy, so it looks like my problem is as good as solved. 
Oh, I really didn't know that... Here in Germany, it's always "Ruffy"; even in the Mangas. I guessed it'd be a る in the original, but now that I think about it - "Ruffy" can't be spelled in Kana, so maybe the name was neither "Luffy" nor "Ruffy" at all.

they still use it in some american mangas. and it really irks the fans here. XD.

Ja, ich hab mich wirklich kaputtgeärgert und sogar mein Vater musste beim Kleben helfen. Sieht zwar nicht mehr so wirklich logisch aus, dass er so da hängt, aber ansonsten ein Hoch auf extra starken Sekundenkleber... =_=
Naja, das ist wohl die Frage. Ich _hoffe_ schon; ich packe ihn immer wieder in diese Plastikpäckchen (oder wenn die kaputt sind in Frischhaltefolie) und klebe die mit Tesa an allen möglichen Ecken und Enden zu... vielleicht reicht das nicht? o_O
