Photo location: Costa Vicentina - Portugal
One of my favorite beaches in Costa Vicentina. The sky was dark grey and thick, but I was fortunately blessed with this magical opening.
How I missed to be soaked in water, cold, witnessing the scapes, trying not to fall from slippery rocks.
Aperture: f9.5
Exposure: 180 seconds
10 stop ND filter + 3 stop soft ND filter + 2 stop soft ND filter

After looking through your gallery for a bit, I had the feeling that your images could improve if you would sometimes try to shoot from a different height. All your coastal waterscapes are shot from somewhere between head and hip height. The foreground is always exactly the same distance from the lense, you always have the same kind of perspective on the objects you photograph. I especially miss a view from a higher vantage (bring a ladder), but even something shot closer to the ground would bring some variety to the monotonous perspectives. The problem with shooting from head height becomes strikingly visible in an image like this, where objects in the middle ground hide the farther "ground", but at the same time they don't overlap enough to make this an interesting aspect of the composition. Bring me in, to touch the rocks at my feet, or lift me up to allow me to SEE.
