Salmon showed an excellent temperament and was deemed to have potential outside of being a hunting dog. Muddy River Stud believed he could do well in a support position, or on a search team. In preparation to testing what he might be most suited for, they wanted to give him a couple tests first to see how he reacted in certain situations.
