Description
Several days ago Warner Bros announced release of a two-disc DVD box set of a horrid bullcrap known as "Pinky Elmyra and the Brain". This fugly abomination was produced in 1998 and it's one of the most infamous example of executive meddling.Unsurprisingly, that show turned out to be a major flop, and it was pulled of TV after only five episodes. Everybody thought that this shameful failure will stay buried deep inside WB vaults forever. However, certain people at WB must feel really adventurous as they decided to release it in the January of 2014. I guess they came back to smoking the same stuff they did in 1998...
Luckily for Pinky and the Brain, that PeatB show was just a psychotic hallucination that occurred in their minds after one of experiments. WE ALL KNOW that Elmyra was NEVER paired with mice, and none of things presented in that retarded spin-off NEVER HAPPENED. RIGHT!? Nonetheless Pinky and the Brain aren't enthusiastic about upcoming release of that non-existent show. Neither am I .

Well I'd say that Pinky, Elmyra, and the Brain were just recurring nightmares that the Brain had and so he needs to go see Dr. Scratchansniff, but he tells him that Elmyra actually exists and is not a figment of his imagination, and so he asks Slappy to get rid of her.

Now that's something I'd like to see! Nice idea. I'm sure that Slappy would be more than happy to teach Elmyra some manners. But I also guess that there would be A LOT of tension between Slappy and the Brain

Brain doesn't like it when anyone else steals(what he assumes to be ) HIS spotlight. Personally, I like Elmyra. She might be a little rough on her pets (over hugging) but she's also given Brain all he's dished out to Pinky. You go, girl!

To me, Brain's reaction looks more scary. Besides, this particular series inspired me to draw the bunny tree in Pinky's dream. Pinky really wanted to see it, but Brain wouldn't let him. If Elmyra was in the drawing, Pinky's dream will turn into a nightmare!

When a show is dissed even by its own theme-song you have to know it's pretty crappy.
The first scene when Elmyra flushed PatB down the toilet... There couldn't have been a more unequivocal allegory.

I don't really mind the spin-off. I only watched it for Pinky and I love Pinky. He's really cute and he even had cute moments in this spin-off. Pinky has always been cute!

Pinky had a friend in Elmyra, which is more than can be said for Brain. And I liked Cute Little Alienhead. In order to barter for what he needed, Brain was forced to call himself Dummyboy! Funny, he doesn't like being called names, but he doesn't mind ragging on Pinky. Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain gave that megalomaniacal sewer rat what for! And I'm all for that!

I hated this show because Pinky and the Brain became victims of Elmyra's obnoxious sadism, and they suffered constant pain and humiliation... And I didn't find it funny at all. It was the main theme of revamped series, and there was a very little time left for intelligent humor and satire... Money-grubbing execs wanted to turn PatB into a typical, lame "kids" cartoon - that idea simply could not work, so that "revamped" show was doomed to failure.
