Ah, cloud nine. The happiest of happy places...
I decided to try a mixed media entry for 's contest! The challenge: to draw her OCs Shadow (the guy) and Aiko (the girl). These two are so adorable--I couldn't resist! I also couldn't resist giving Aiko some cute heart-shaped earrings
Despite some problems I had with proportions, working on this piece was a lot of fun, especially interpreting the designs! And yes, Aiko is holding her famous blue wand. See the glow?
Prismacolor colored pencils, Adobe Photoshop CS3, and more hours than I can count. At least forty (mixed media is hard!)

Your style of colouring is so lovely. I love the bottom of the picture with the blend of different colours etc. I like the shines that come through. It really makes it a beautiful picture. I envy your talent.

You should more practise their face.. but other I can see perfect.. colorus and you have very ebautiful technique of shading smooth and delicate. great poses, You should work a bit with anatomy too

I knew the thumb looked different from your other usual CG's. I think you should use mixed media more often. It's got great results. The colors are bold and well shaded. The staggering of the characters keeps the eys moving vertically. The proportions are pretty kooky but that's what makes your style interesting. The guy's anatomy looks good but the girl's arms are off. For her right arm, all she needs is a dark shadow in the crook of her elbow to show that it's bending backwards. The left arm if you want to keep the bicep close to the side, then you need to have the hand bent horizontally in line with her shoulder. Just try it. You'll see what I mean. I like how you didn't really paint clouds in and interpreted them as more of mist floes. I don't really like the rainbow so much. I'd rather see it slowly fade into a deep night sky blue with all the stars out and twinkling. Fantastic job though!

First off, Aiko = perfect!
She looks like shes ready for anything, her hair looks stunning and its so shiny I want iiittt! The way you made her dress shine from her want is just so ultra special it must have taken agggess
Now lets talk about shadow. Umm hoooottt! I may have to use this outfit, he looks like Aikos knight in shining armor! And they look at each other so romantically *fangirl screams*
The background fits perfect with all this too.

You found my two favorite parts of this drawing...Aiko's hair and skirt (which did take ages. I had to figure out how to blend yellow and purple! XD). And ooh, I'd love to see you draw this outfit on Shadow!
