Description
The first in a series of Star Wars redesigns. I wanted Leia to look more like a princess. She is still a strong leader and good fighter. This is only her Pre death star outfit. I will design her Rebel outfit later.Related content

Any particular reason she has red hair? Seems kinda out of place. And maybe she looks kinda like one of those sailor scouts from sailor moon. (I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m just saying this is not quite what comes to mind when I think of Leia. But I guess that’s kinda the point.)

Originally she was going to have a red dress and white hair, I figured that If I reversed the colors she would be more recognizable.
Also this isn't the outfit she wears on missions, Sh wheres it around the rebel base as a reminder of Alderaan.
Also I did take some inspiration from sailor moon with this design.

Not sure if that’s too much of a wise idea, because when people see that, they’re just going to think sailor moon instead of Star Wars. (Gotta say though, she does look a bit younger, and she was supposed to be 19 in a new hope.)

The reason why she and Luke are younger is because when they were cloned, they were taken out of the tanks too early.
Also Lukes group of rebels (Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2) aren't really well respected among other groups due to their origins. for example.
Luke is a young farmer from tatooine who believes in the force while most of the galaxy doesn't.
Leia is the former princess of an imperial controlled world. Not many rebels trust her.
Han solo is Han Solo.
Chewbacca was kidnapped from Kashyyyk and used for an imperial super soldier experiment. A wookie is terrifying enoughon its own to them so you can Imagine how they'd react to super soldier wookie.
C-3PO is a former imperial droid
R2-D2 is old and rusty and other rebels doubt his reliability.
Luke and Leia are suposedly around 16, Han is 17, Chewie still 200, C-3PO is factory new, R2 was recently assembled out of old parts, but his memory is around 70 years old.

So the odds are kinda stacked even more against them, meaning I suppose that they have even more to prove to themselves, and to the galaxy. (Still not entirely sold on the whole sailor moon look though.)

That's the Idea. I might change Leia's hairstyle to the more "traditional" bun look.

You know, with all the gems she’s got on her, she might kinda fit in with the crystal gems, don’t you think?

Also I don't think they'd like seeing someone wearing Jewelry when they themselves are literally living Jewelry.
