ezerea powering up her magical mandala as a shinku hadoken (sorry too much street fighter)! anyway i haven't went back to the old way i used to do magic. i just experimented with what i did before and combined it with use of the mandala. if you look close enough you can see it in between ezerea's hands.Related content

i really like this character and the action pose she's throwing. Did you do this with markers? Copics? Prismacolor? something like that?

well for the original line work i used a blue prisma color pencil. then i go over the lines with a mechanical one. scan it in as a black and white image and after that, i change the levels to make the lines a little darker. with that done, i color over directly over my pencils in photoshop.

Ahhh, i read about comic book artists using a blue pencil to sketch out their drawings. So all that good layering of coloured areas has been done in photoshop, nice

yup, i saw that as well a long time ago as well and decided to use the same technique. it helps because the time it takes to clean up a drawing after scanning doesn't take long. since the color basically disappears the regular pencil line is left. it helps me out a lot that way.
