Alrighty to start off let me explain smokescreen 'died' by he's half brother jaiko aka black mist by using smokescreen own staff witch is a magic staff call the staff of powerless given by his father enenra (enen his name) (edward his human) as a gift wene he was little said to use it if the time comes,so any way black mist wanted the staff because it should have been his smokescreen was stab by it his power were cancel by the staff,then black mist use his heatsmoke burn or melt the body but unknown to him smokescreen live as a living smoke.
But then he went see the one who conner solomon aka metalman by make a spandex suit with some armor in it so he can walk in a body the suit,give him some extra abilities to fight some heat beams and the suit can heal it self thanx to conner's nano tech now smokescreen must find his half brother and get his staff back however unknown to smokescreen his slowly regaening his human body with blood and bone and everthing thanx to the fact that he's also a mutant.but the process can be faster once a get his staff as the staff does not just take away a person or demon any being power but ripping there spirit out of there body but once he touches the staff he'll come back to he's old self.
