Kong generally maintains a very carefree attitude, as if things will always go his way, often described as having no sense of repercussions. In his youth, this often led to precarious situations, such as unintentionally dropping on top of a ship full of passengers or, more dangerously, trying to eat a Sea King alive. Kong maintained this attitude later in his life, such as joining the Demon King Pirates despite hearing dangerous rumors of the demanding conditions for membership, conquering all the territories where the Sea Kings lived even though he was told that such a feat was impossible, or challenge the World Government. This sense of utter fearlessness, combined with his overwhelming physical prowess and unmatched combat sense, is what made him one of the greatest threats to the nefarious global regime since the late Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. This attitude also led to his capture in Impel Down unintentionally, although he did not care, since he escaped when "Golden Lion" Shiki did.
Another defining trait of Wukong was his supernatural intuition and accurate perception. Kong seemed to be able to pick up almost anything just by seeing someone do it once; embodying the idea of monkey see monkey do. His unique intuitive nature was often compared to the way human drills copy predators to survive, but on a much larger scale. Many of his friends and enemies would consider this an unfair characteristic, as it would take them a long time to master fighting styles or learn a game, but it would only take Kong a few seconds to emulate it. This ability was often used in a comedic way, as people would bet that Kong couldn't perform a task, such as cooking a five-star meal, and he would then proceed to do it in the exact way he saw someone else do it.
Thjazi aptly surmised the aforementioned ability in the following quote: "Kong could watch a surgeon perform once and adequately emulate the surgery without knowing how the body works or the names of the tools he is using. However, if some event were to occur If he deviated from the original procedure, he would be lost. Yin was implying that while Kong's greatest asset could be his greatest weakness, as he often doesn't understand or understand what he is doing, he simply allows his body to do it. This is often seen when Kong is able to predict the weather with astonishing accuracy, but when asked to explain how he was able to come to that conclusion, he simply says that he goes with his instincts with a cocky smile.

Although it was never his goal to become the strongest creature, Kong took pride in epithets and found it disrespectful when others, especially those who sincerely believed they were superior when they clearly were not, did not recognize his power.
When angered, Kong was quite ruthless. Whether it be his own subordinates, enemies, allies, or even his stepsons and stepdaughters, if he were to anger him, he would pay the price. When one of the former members of the Demons tried to wriggle out of paying his debts, Kong became so enraged that such a man was part of his crew that he decided to beat him beyond belief and still made sure he never breathed again; the price he has to pay was only several thousand belli and Kong wasn't even involved.
Despite the cruelty he puts up as a front, Kong has a true sense of loyalty and honor; he hates traitors and liars with all his soul.
Despite being an evil monster, he was a truly loving and attentive father to all of his stepsons and stepdaughters and often tells them that, despite his uncontrollable anger, he loved each and every one of them as much as his husbands and wives. .
