Sonic's water form uses more defensive and long-range attacks. Bubble techniques also increase Sonics’ jump rate, enabling him to reach higher places. In this form Sonic is also able to slowly heal his health during battle. (This form also enables Sonic to breathe underwater and shift his gravity which enables him to either swim or move freely without underwater slowdowns.)
