I love how the blue is a nice, subtle change from the pastel dim orange background! Great job.

Yeah, I think that was what I loved the most about the character's design. ^^

I don't know what it is about a dragon holding a pumpkin, but I just love it so much.Β

Errr...Β
Men tusen takk!

Haha x'D
Vell, det var vell Γ₯ repetivt tegne dem.
Men jeg tror denne ble spessielt bra pga fargene, og hvor vell de gikk med karakteren og lys settinga.Β

Ah! I totally agree on that!
That and silver. UvU
Haha, yeah. I sort of wish they were brushmade. Unfortunately I have yet to find/create a brush where I feel I can get a good gradient, yet keep the controll I desire... So I tend to end up with a lot of silly detail work. Beside, I kind of like to feel I have done everything myself. Kinda silly maybe, but ah. ^^
Anyway, thank you so much for this long detailed comment.
It really made my day!

I know the feeling.Β I do everything by hand, too.Β It looks so... manufactured otherwise! I hate it! xD

Haha.
Well, I guess it depends on how well the brush fits your style.Β
But it is like the standard grass brush in ps.Β
I hate that brush, because every artist starting out digital will find it, and abuse it.
I mean, when they start using it, their art is not realistic enough to fit such detailed pattern.
While when they get to a level they can make it work, they will have realized how it doesn't really look like real grass either.Β
But that is an extreme case.
I think it is usually better to make your own brushes, as they then will at least look like something you'd have drawn in your style.
//Not that I am really being the prime example here.

Goodness, I came to peak into your gallery and this picture is just so beautiful it caught my eye right away! It has such a nice complimenting colour scheme and just look at that eye for detail. I was nearly blown away when I caught things like the small little hinting of scales on his back. That background is also breath taking.Β

Finally getting to comment on this.
Oh my gosh beb this picture is just gorgeous ;u; I absolutely love the color palette here and how even her semi-obnoxious teal blends in so peacefully. You did such a great job on all of the details! The veins in her fins, those little scales on the surface of her tail and neck, how gravity pulls her horn-rings ;u; and her shoulder marking is just so ah <3 perfect.
Thank you for putting so much care and love into this piece. did you draw all of those leaves by hand?! <3 can't get over the textures. Is there a print-sized version of this? I'd love to hang it in my cubicle at work.

Ah, thank you so much!Β
I am really glad you liked it, as I was really nervous I would not do her design proper justice. ;u;'
I do have a larger version, but as I fixed some details after scaling it down, it might come off a little bit different.
(Mainly, I had forgotten to colour the fingernails of the shorter left arm, and colourcorrecting was done after too as I had to merge layers. )
But if you want it, I can fix it up and send it to you over stash, as the job itself did not really take much time.
Oh, and for the leafs I used the basic hard round brush to draw them leaf by leaf. So I guess I did.Β
But I firstly used a textured brush just to get down a basic pattern for where I wanted the light and shadows.

Oh gosh beb, I'm sorry for the slow reply! I've been incredibly busy. I would love to have the big version, but only if it wont take you too long to do the fix-ups! I definitely don't want it to seem like you're painting the thing twice. cx
As for the leaves, that is absolutely incredible. The amount of time that must have taken required dedication, I bet! It warms my heart ;u;
