Description This was our first graded piece for my Drawing class. I thought it worth uploading since I think it turned out alright. I actually made a few changes after taking this picture, so I'll upload an updated picture some other time.

For now, charcoal is actually pretty fun! I hope to do some personal projects with it outside of class.

This was my err...third time using charcoal, I think. But it was my hundredth time doing a still-life/picking up a drawing utensil, so it evens out.Ā

I have ONE question!
Do you wear gloves or something, or you you end up with charcoal covered hands?

I have charcoal covered hands...and face sometimes. Ā 

I don't see the point of gloves since it really helps to use bare fingers to get that blending done.
