You arrived on my shore, at the edge of music –straining for my hand, grasping for notes and melodies and dying to just feel me –
but you did not even seem to notice
that your own heart is full of stardust – full to bursting –
and that your eyes ring with treble clefs and pixels and desire,
your voice tames even the chromatic scale,
your smile reflects the stage lights and future days,
and it is everything that I ever yearned for and needed to find.
