Say what? How the heck is lycan's face similar to Beastmaster/Dragon Knight/Lone Druid? Not going beyond the realm of humanoids that is.
I hope you are not saying that if you play LoL since that game is has a rooster of heroes as generic as characters can get...

Both very masculine, large brow ridges, large ridges on the nose, short nose, wide mouth, square jaw, wide face, small/medium eyes, low eyebrows, yellowish tinted skin, alot of facial hair, just overly masculine and yeah, they do look like they could be father and son. I don't even look as similar to my father as these two do

I believed that he's saying something like Shadow Fiend looks similar to Shadow demon, and Tinker's portrait looks similar to Clockwerk's, those confused me when I was new to this game.

Slark, Puck, and Jakiro were the first characters I played in DotA 2 and are still my favorites to this day! I don't understand why the game gets so much hate from other MOBA players though.. I play both DotA 2 *and* League and I find no major dealbreaker in either.
