This is a work in progress, but the final is very large, and many of these details get lost in the full view. However, I'm so pleased with how the portrait looks, that I wanted to post it as a separate piece.The more I paint, the more I learn.... It's a good feeling.
Photoshop: ~7 hours so far. Textures are from a custom brush I made on the fly. The rest is done with a standard brush at 40% opacity, 60% flow - all on one layer.
