I am partaking in looji 's Pretty Boytober, with Day 1 being Berry themed. I took the prompt more as "fruit" and decided to also draw one of my many OCs. I'm also a bit rusty with my digital art, but I'll do my best as I practice with these prompts!

Meet Yggf'ir!
In my own universe, Yggf'ir is the God of Life/Fertility. He grows fruit and flowers from the crown on his head, which depending on the growth can tell you what he's feeling. Right now, I drew him with figs (his signature fruit). When I think plants, I just think of him now. He's quite timid, but very friendly once he opens up and loves to offer fresh produce to just about everyone he meets! Often, he takes the form of an animal or a young man dressed in animal hide/fur. The crown stays, however, and still blooms.
Due to his title as a "Fertility God" in universe, Yggf'ir is mistaken for a female by mortals and is worshipped as such. Since Yggf'ir can shapeshift - and gods are powered by belief - he is stronger in a female form. Whenever he lays dormant, his crown ends up overgrowing and Yggf'ir winds up as a tree.
Someone might ask why I designed him male. Here's why: pollination.
