Cleaned up the lines a little bit to throw him onto here for the sake of not being dead and also for the sake of my feels or something I'm not sure. |D

This is probably really silly to pretty much everyone but.

I have had. The biggest obsession with this character for the past while. ”orz
( who probably no one will recognize because who watches the Pokemon anime anymore hahahaha )

Anyway, this is Drew from the Hoenn arc of the Pokemon anime, a.k.a. the Advanced generation + Battle Frontier. Basically I decided to watch the entire arc because I am the most unfamiliar with Hoenn. I stopped following Pokemon after Johto, so when I came back, I kept getting Hoenn and Sinnoh Pokemon confused. Now I don't! :'D

I THINK HE IS MY FAVOURITE POKEMON ANIME RIVAL?

Because of reasons:
1 - He’s not a straight-up jerk like Gary and Paul : d I like his attitude though, it's like.. criticizing, but not downright hurtful. I like how he is actually portrayed as a decent person and cares about his friends and whatnot without being supernaivegoodguyfrvrAshhaha.

2 - He actually isn’t Ash’s rival, because gdi Ash you get too much attention |D Seriously every generation, Ash gets like fifty billion rivals and friends and I think one of my favourite things about Hoenn is that there are four of them: Brock, May, and Max. Brock doesn't usually get a lot of the spotlight, but it's nice how there are episodes that focus on May and Max. May even has her own entourage of rivals so it's pretty neat. oUo

3 - He is a coordinator, unlike the billions of trainers that came before :b Idk somehow it's just nice to have the variety between gym battles and contest battles, and normal trainer Ash rivals and also contest rivals.

I kind of like contest battles more than gym battles, can you tell? The appeals are the coolest thing ever haha. xD

4 - I like how he has a thing for roses, it’s neat seeing a male trainer with a Roserade for a main Pokemon and a thing for giving May roses. :'D I feel like it goes against the stereotype of the female characters always having the cute Pokemon.
.. and then I realized. I also like James. And my TFM!mouse Korvan. Who both also have a thing for roses.. wut.

Also he has an Absol and a Flygon, how cool is that ajsdfkdsj

( Also random observation but why does every great trainer seem to have a Milotic? Like.. Wallace the champion, Juan the gym leader, and Robert the person who won the Grand Festival in the anime.. they all have one. )
My theory is that Drew lost because he doesn't have one psh

tl; dr
I like Drew a lot. That is all. |D;

I borrowed Pokemon anime style for this, because I’m still not comfortable with my own human style and also I am so used to seeing him in PKMN anime style that I haven't gotten used to non-anime style Drew so. Maybe eventually. |D;
