About This Drawing: This drawing was inspired by James O'Barr's "THE CROW ", which was a dark comic book & film that gained cult fame in the early 90's. I wanted to add a crow in the picture but decided against it as it will only distract the eye from the subj
ect, Eric Draven.

About Eric perched on the cross... I'm not promoting anti-Christian ideas here - just trying to tell a story. The cross is actually his grave marker.

The story of The Crow revolves around an unfortunate man named Eric. He & his fiancée, Shelly, are brutally murdered by a gang of street thugs.

A Crow resurrects Eric who then seeks vengeance on the thugs, methodically stalking & killing them.

The Crow acts as both guide & goad for Eric, spying for him to aid him in his quest but also chastising him for dwelling on Shelly's death, seeing it as useless self-indulgence that distracts him from his purpose.
