Personality: Katla is a dangerous, brutal, and ferocious Predacon femme. She is known for her serious attitude. She can be a bit harsh and short-tempered. She feels no guilt over the enemies she kills. She has a curious side of hers that loves to learn about different subjects. She is quite social but she doesn't like it when others are all up on her face.

History: Katla was one of the first cloned Predacons sent to Earth to hunt down Autobot forces. During that time she went by the name Slickfang. The reason why is that her fangs were so slick and strong she could pierce even the strongest of metal hide. Using her venomous fangs most of her smaller Autobot prey died quickly, while some were temporarily paralyzed but later killed by her claws.

As time passed and all the Autobot forces were hunted down, instead of waiting for the Decepticon leader to return and guard the Energon reserves, Slickfang decided to travel to the north where she ended up finding an ice cave that became her territory.

Slickfang put herself in a hibernation stasis lock, where she would only wake up if something happens in the cave. She would occasionally wake up to refill on Energon, which she could find easily by scent. Or just go out and walk around the lush forest.

On one of her days of leaving the cave and venturing into the woods, in 1977, she came across a filming scene. Slickfang was standing afar from this. She didn't know what the small creatures ( humans ) were doing, but then suddenly a creature that resembled her past Predacon allies appeared. She heard one of the smaller creatures yell out the dragon's name, which was Katla. Slickfang for some reason liked the name. And when she returned to the cave, the only thing that was in her mind was the name " Katla ", and as she took her time to put herself in hibernation lock, the name again echoed in her mind. Thinking that maybe she should change her name to the one she heard, "Yes ", that would be her new name she thought, before finally shutting her eyes.

Years passed, and Katla woke up when she heard strange noises coming from somewhere near her territory. She began to look for the strange noises when she came across a few freaky-looking creatures that had an eerie resemblance to the creatures ( Humans ) years back. Katla hissed at them and to her surprise they left quickly.

When she thought that the freaky creatures wouldn't return, low and behold they came back later, but not alone, for they had brought someone Katla might have something in common with. They had brought Vaporrage who began to converse with Katla. Vaporrage first told her about himself so that Katla could feel some sense of security. When Katla felt that she could trust Vaporrage a little, she began to tell him about herself. Once the introduction was over, Katla asked Vaporrage about the freaky creatures, which Vaporrage answered that there were more freaky and monstrous-looking creatures from where he resides now. Katla, feeling bored and alone, asked Vaporrage if she could follow him back to where he resided, which Vaporrage debated in his mind before accepting Katla's request.

When Katla arrived at the isle, she was amazed and freaked out by the many creatures. She began to learn about them by having conversations with them, and in return, they would learn about her and the Predacons. She was given a place to stay in, which was a cave located in one of the isle's mountains. A few of Specimens introduced her to the mythology which at first she didn't understand, but later got fascinated by the creatures that sometimes reminded her of her past with the other Predacons. They even told her about the amazing and beautiful places on Earth, which she loved to hear about. The Specimen and Vaporrage were kind enough to Katla to give her a remote control ground bridge she could use for travel.

Katla would later leave the isle to explore the Earth. For months she went to places that were harsh and dangerous, and to places that were quiet and peaceful. She would go back to the isle to rest, refuel, and talk with her new allies about the visits she made, which they were glad to hear about.

Katla's main inspiration is a dragon from both a book and a movie. This dragon is also named Katla, and she's from a book called Bröderna Lejonhjärta. Most of the inspiration is from the book.
Katla's other inspirations are vipers, pythons, and skinks.
Her first name was going to be Viperess, which is a mix of Viper and Empress. Then it was Slickfang, but in the bio-history, it was her previous name before she changed it to Katla.
Katla is a Drake, which is a species of Dragons that don't possess wings.
She loves to read about Earth's mythology.
Her Drake mode has a snakish and slim appearance.
Katla can't breathe fire, but she can spit venom.
Katla can consume raw energon, which her body later turns into fuel.
