Description
This is a prize for for winning my contest. This is part 1 of a ten piece wardrobe for her OC Saleen.Left to right:
Sari- Saleen comes from an Indian culture and I created this outfit for her, the embroidery on the sari includes waves, a motif in some of her costumes because of her love for the sea
Dance- Saleen enjoys belly dancing so I created this fiery-hued belly dancing costume for her
Steampunk- Saleen loves sea greens and bright blues and so I created a piece around these colour schemes, again the waves motif is embroidered on her bodice and she has a small clock on her veiled hat, because no steampunk outfit would be complete without it!
Victorian daywear- the story is set in a Victorian-esque setting so I created this deep violet and gold piece for this outfit with lavender embroidery on the skirts (a plant that often grows along coastal paths close to the sea.)
Gypsy- inspired by Disney's Esmerelda! lol I chose rich colours again which enhance Saleen's skin tone and again the swirl motif links to the sea-culture as do the golden bells on her shawl which are meant to be shells and starfish...but I failed...oh dear lol

Again the mixture of cultural influences! Saleem sounds to me like the kind of person who learns tons about every place she visits and falls in love with each culture.

Wonderful work! These are some of my favorite designs so far. I like the sari one the best; it looks like a combination of styles between Indian sari and and a Roman noblewoman's dress. Very beautiful. ^_^

It's beautiful how the colours are so bright and vibrant and go well with her personality I think! I love the dark blue sari in contrast to the fiery belly dancer costume
I also like how her steampunk outfit looks like she could actually do a lot of things in it so it'd count as sort of work-wear.
I don't think you failed at the gypsy outfit at all - the green of her corset is so bright! I love it
I bet she loves her colourful materials!

Wow! Thank you so much, they are all beautiful! I love all the little details of her personality you fitted in to them! The Sari is gergeous and really suits her, the bellydance costume also (and so appropriate in colour since she dances for a dragon XD), I especially love the panel on her bodice in the steampunk one (and the little hat!), and the Victorian dress, I can so imagine her walking around London in! XD And the last one, how did you know I loved Ezmerelda's design!? xD That dress so reminds me of the first scene Saleen appears in aboard the ship. XD
