Pema Dochen

Picture is dedicated to lithuanian prose writer, essayist, playwright, painter and poet Jurga Ivanauskaite. After her visits in the Far East, she became an active supporter of the Tibet liberation movement.
During her travels she had written some haiku-like poems and later published them under the name of Pema Dochen. Pema was a fictional character made up by author herself; a tibetan yogini, practising Chöd and deeply in love with a monk. Later Jurga releaved that she was too afraid of dissaproval of the critics and readers so she decided to `hide` under the name of Pema Dochen.

Jurga died from the soft tissue sarcoma at the age of 45, few years ago. I always wanted to draw something for her, but I did not manage to do that in time, while she was alive.
