Description I love a stormy seascape. This looks pretty hectic and it was. I got caught up in shooting that I'd forgotten about the tide coming in and had to make a quick getaway.

What a fantastic image! was this taken in RAW format? I've always wanted to try and achieve something like this with my camera, this is so sharp and foccused!

Thought soo , I would love to work in Raw, but I don't really see much difference?
Is there a huge difference between the both?

Raw just offers a wider range of control over an image compared to jpeg, so if you are post processing Raw is better because it holds alot more data. You can change white balance, exposure, etc Jpeg cant do that. The only downside is the size and post processing time.

So you could also get a higher resolution out of RAW, then?
As far as when it comes time to make prints?

This picture just looks amazing. Did the sky naturally look like that or did you tweak it a bit?

Nope, sky was what you see only a touch more colourful I had to desaturate it a little as it was too vibrant. It only lasted a very short time because it was off and on raining all morning. It went back to grey and dark a short time after this was taken
