When I visited Europe last year and made a stop at the Prague zoo, I found one of these leopards... and it certainly seemed I was the only person looking for him who actually saw him.Β These cats must be as observant as they look because next thing I knew he was watching me, and even cocking an ear to listen when I tried talking to him.
Couldn't get any good photos, unfortunately, because he was still hiding and pretty far away with lots of brush in between him and me.

I focused through the exhibit glass with a telephoto zoom lens.
And that's not a cat you want to be right up next to.

Β love zoom lenses, but i'd be lost on how to use them. A friend of mine took some photos of big cats for me at the zoo with a zoom lens (not as close up as this) and I love it! You can actually make it look like they're in their natural habitat.
