Reading stories of heroes
Stories of wonder and adventures.
Rather than lists of names
Or gravestones.

I looked out over Birkenau
I saw where you walked
I saw where you slept
I saw where you worked
I saw where you ate
I saw where you lived
And I wished I could see you.
