this is a small carving in a clam shell that my grandfather brought here from Japan in the 50's. it's amazingly intricate and on the other side of the little house there is a water wheel that actually will spin! there are no signatures or markings on it, but it is obviously a real clam shell that it's in. i'll always have this to remember him.on the top of the shell is a carving of a dragon, here's a photo i took of that:
