to me, it doesn't seem to convey the peace and silence of solitude... the background and water make it look more stormy than anything... pretty water, though

very good. But perhaps a more arial view of the island so it is surrounded with water would convey it more.

hrm... the emotion comes off well. but there seems to be problems with the jpg compression. it looks blocky around the island.
