The daughter of an Elf-Human couple, Veronica grew up in the southern colony of Asheville (placeholder name) with six other half-elf siblings. She spent most of her childhood learning the way of a rancher, as she would often run away from the cooking and knitting lessons that her mother tries to teach her. Her father taught her how to shoot, and Veronica has been fascinated with the gun ever since. Unlike her siblings, Veronica has always wanted to see the outside world, far from the ranch she grew up on. After she turned sixteen, she bid farewell to her family and left for the capital colony of Providence. Not knowing any other trade apart from ranching and gunnery, she decided to enlist in the Colonial Marine Corps.
