IT WAS DEVELOPED AT THE GORKY CAR FACTORY.
THE FIRST SERIOUS MODELS WERE PRODUSED IN MARCH, 1936.
THE AMERICAN FORD-40 MODEL BECAME THE PROTOTYPE OF THE CLOSED PASSENGER CAR.
62868 AUTOMOBILES HAD BEEN PRODUSED FROM 1936 TO 1943.

Reminds me of a scene out of Stephen King's 'Hearts in Atlantis'. There was a movie made with Anthony Hopkins based on the short story of the Lowmen in that book. It just has that feel to it.
