Background
First born of Akane and Rin's older brother. Raiden is a master tactician and a level headed warrior that, under very specific circumstances can go berserk on an enemy.
In contrast to Rin's optimism, Raiden is a little more jaded and extremelly sarcastic, but behind that he has a heart of gold, best displayed in his relationships with her and his girlfriend, Astrid.
He has a deep seated hatred on "The Entity" for being involved in Akane's "death", however he doesn't know of the nature of the identity of this character (though he has the suspiction of being involved with his biological father).
