2010 is OVER! HELLOOOOOOOOOOO 2011! Waiting now for 2012...At any rate, I wanted to keep doing new images of Nova every year. This is my second image, and looking at the one fr last year, I can see HUGE improvement. Some things I learned: I can't do shadows to save my life, work on that in the future, also I have discovered how to make decent backgrounds, but unfortunately I didn't have time for one tonight.

The star (the big one) was done by me. Several masks were applied to the BG to give it a cartoony feel. But I'm proudest of Nova, I think I got her spot on.

Right, since I am a cheap skate, I not prepared to pay for a premium membership. So, my critique will be a extremely long comment!
Right so, I think it's safe to say that this is a brilliant piece of work; Novas' lines flow beautifully, and you can really see the detail which has been included in this. The way that you got all of her body lines to flow is brilliant, and the colouring is fine; I'd say that you wouldn't really have to shade Nova, as she is a light dragon, and therefore immits her own faint glow (I think). Also, her eyes are stunning; they show both love, care, and beauty, but also show an iron will, strength, and overall agility.
Your background choice is excellent as well, it has major detail, and I feel that it expresses Novas' love for flying! And the sun; it'sjust excellent. A brilliant idea. The way that the sun rays seem to stretch out and seem to 'grab' your attention is fenominal. It also goes well with Nova; shes a light dragoness, the sun immits it own light; the perfect match. (You may notice in this part that :devsalmanarif). Sorry!
My only problem with this piece is that Novas' left wing (the one furthest away from us) looksa lot smaller than its sister wing. It's almost a midget wing. Apart from this, it is an amazing piece of work!

The only reason the second wing is tiny is cause it's pointing away from the viewer. I've always had issues with 3d elements, so I can see if I messed that one up.

I need to ask cause I've gotten all the images done, but I need to organize them into the actual finished piece. Still struggling with the background, but I think that I should have the entire thing finished by wednesday. Things keep on popping up and pushing it back...
